Second Beer of the Trip

After the Kürzer, Luis and I wandered down the street to my home away from home in Düsseldorf -- Uerige. As it was warm afternoon, the outside seating was packed, so we went inside. They still had the soup of the day -- a pork Goulash soup so we had one of those with our beers.




They have these wonderful old chairs with their signature "U" carved in them I thought they were worth a picture.




After a few beers and the Goulash we moved outside, found a seat on some steps and proceeded to watch all Düsseldorf walk by. It doesn't get much better than this.




It doesn't take a weatherman to know which way the beer is flowing at Uerige.


The beer plus jetlag was overcoming us, and as the sun started to set the wind coming off the Rhine picked up so we called it a night.

Tomorrow we're off to Amsterdam to meet up with the rest of the group.
